Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Technician, Facility Services for HVAC and refrigeration in Northport, AL. The role involves installing and commissioning HVAC/refrigeration systems, calibrating controls, and ensuring compliance with building codes and safety standards.

You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and support on-call rotations across multiple facilities. Qualified candidates will have HVAC/R certification, EPA refrigerant handling certification, and a valid driver's license

Qualifications

HVAC-R certification and 2 years’ mechanical maintenance or construction-related experience for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
EPA Type I/II or Universal refrigerant handling certification.
Valid state driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.
Commercial driving record with no DUI/DWI in the last five years.

Responsibilities

Install HVAC and refrigeration systems including ductwork and control panels.
Configure and calibrate low ambient systems and direct digital controls.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues in commercial/industrial systems.
Lead field teams and mentor less-experienced technicians and apprentices.
Maintain compliance with OSHA and EPA 608 protocols.
