Job summary

Ace Hardware Home Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced HVAC Technical Trainer to develop and deliver technical training for service, maintenance, and installation technicians.

You will act as a subject matter expert, mentor peers, and partner with leadership to improve diagnostics, safety compliance, and customer service. The ideal candidate has deep residential HVAC expertise and a passion for coaching others, with proven ability to create curricula, labs, and certification pathways across

Qualifications

• Minimum 7–10+ years of residential HVAC experience.
• Extensive experience with furnaces, heat pumps, AC, hydronic/boiler, and ductless systems.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification required.
• Strong HVAC diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Proven ability to mentor/train technicians.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver HVAC training programs for technicians at all levels.
• Create curricula, labs, assessments, and certification pathways.
• Conduct classroom, virtual, and field training sessions.
• Coach and mentor technicians, leads, and supervisors.
• Coordinate onboarding and development programs for new technicians.
• Partner with leaders to drive technician performance and safety.
