Job summary

Johnson Controls in New Freedom, PA, is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician for the 3rd shift (Sunday – Thursday, 11:30pm–8:00am). You will work hands-on with large commercial chillers, supporting the development and testing of next-generation HVAC equipment, setting up instruments, and ensuring accurate test results.

You will collaborate with engineers, oversee instrumentation and data acquisition, train teammates, and help maintain a world-class testing environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years HVAC/refrigeration experience.
• Experience with industrial HVAC systems operations and controls.
• Ability to review specs to resolve design issues.
• US Citizenship or Permanent Resident
• Available to work Sunday–Thursday 11:30pm–8:00am

Responsibilities

• Configure and validate operation of meters and instruments.
• Program test sequences into data acquisition software.
• Maintain instrumentation lists and test protocols.
• Review test data for accuracy and validity.
• Develop and maintain operation procedures.
• Provide first-level support for chiller/test issues.
• Support training of other staff.
• Collaborate with Test Lab to assemble equipment.
• Guide lab personnel on assignments.
• Follow Code of Conduct and Ethics.
