Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Senior Lab Technician for the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3:30pm-12:00am) in New Freedom, PA. You will work hands-on with large commercial chillers, oversee test setup, instrumentation, and data collection to advance HVAC technology. Requires 3+ years in HVAC/refrigeration and US citizenship or permanent residency.

Qualifications

3+ years of practical work experience in HVAC, refrigeration, industrial maintenance, or related technical fields.
Experience with HVAC systems operations and controls, and refrigerant transfer and management.

Responsibilities

Configure, set up, and validate operation of meters and devices using established procedures.
Program test and control sequences into data acquisition software for automated testing.
Maintain instrumentation lists and automated test protocols.
Review test data for accuracy and compare with expected results.
Develop and maintain procedures for equipment operation and testing.
Provide first-level troubleshooting for chiller or component testing.
Support logistics and documentation per company procedures.
Assist in training other employees.
Collaborate with Test Lab to assemble new equipment and instrumentation.
Direct test lab personnel on assignments.
Adhere to Johnson Controls Code of Conduct and Ethics.
