Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician for 3rd shift (Sun–Thu, 11:30pm–8:00am) in New Freedom, PA. You will set up and test large commercial chillers, configure instrumentation, and troubleshoot HVAC and facility systems. US citizens or permanent residents only; $2500 signing bonus upon joining.

Commuting distance or relocation required. You will work with engineers and technicians to improve test processes, train teammates, and maintain a world-class testing environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HVAC/refrigeration or related technical experience.
• Experience with industrial HVAC systems operations, controls, and refrigerant handling.
• Ability to review specs, perform simple calculations, and write test instructions.

Responsibilities

• Configure, set up and validate testing of HVAC equipment and instrumentation.
• Program test sequences and control logic for data acquisition systems.
• Organize instrumentation lists and automated test protocols; review test data for accuracy.
• Develop and maintain procedures for equipment and facility operation.
• Provide first-level troubleshooting and support for chiller tests.
• Train and support other team members; coordinate with Test Lab staff.
