Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician for the 3rd shift to support development and testing of next-generation HVAC equipment. You will oversee test setup, instrumentation, and data collection for large commercial chillers at the New Freedom, PA lab.

You will collaborate with engineers and technicians, troubleshoot systems, and help improve test processes while training others. Applicants should have 3+ years HVAC experience and be able to work night shifts; US Citizenship

Qualifications

3+ years of HVAC, refrigeration, or related technical experience.
Experience with industrial HVAC systems operations and controls.
Ability to review specs to resolve design discrepancies.
Ability to perform basic calculations and write test instructions.
US Citizen or Permanent Resident
Able to work Sunday–Thursday 11:30pm–8:00am

Responsibilities

Configure, setup, and validate operation of meters and measuring devices per procedures.
Program test and control sequences into data acquisition software for automated test facilities.
Organize instrumentation lists and automated test protocols.
Review test data for accuracy and compare with expected results.
Develop and maintain procedures for equipment operation and testing.
Provide first-level troubleshooting for chiller or component testing.
Provide logistics and documentation support per company procedures and policies.
Assist in training other employees.
Collaborate with Test Lab to construct and assemble new equipment.
Direct test lab personnel on specific tasks.
Adhere to Johnson Controls Code of Conduct.
