Job summary

Cambridge Public Schools seeks a Lead HVAC Technician to oversee daily operation and maintenance of HVACR systems across district locations. You will monitor building management systems, perform repairs, and ensure safe, efficient climate control for classrooms and facilities.

The role requires MA Refrigeration Technician license, EPA Universal certification, 10 years HVAC experience and 5 years with BMS. You must be able to travel between schools, work 6:00–2:30 or 2:00–10:30, and a work

Qualifications

• Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician license preferred.
• EPA Universal certification required.
• Driver's license required.
• 10 years of HVAC experience; 5 years with BMS.
• Ability to travel between schools.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain HVACR equipment across district locations.
• Monitor and operate building management systems (BMS) and troubleshoot.
• Replace worn parts, test controls, and repair leaks.
• Perform preventive maintenance on pumps, motors, thermostats and belts.
• Document work orders, invoices, and ensure safety compliance.
