The Pennington School is seeking a Maintenance Technician - HVAC to oversee the school's heating and cooling systems and ensure safe, reliable operation across campus.

The role reports to the assistant director of Operations and requires NJ licensure, EPA refrigerant certification, and a commitment to safety. Hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and a 403(b) plan.

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant handling certification.
• NJ Black Seal license.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years HVAC maintenance experience preferred.
• Valid New Jersey driver's license.
• Ability to obtain/maintain CDL with endorsements, if applicable.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and work with supervision.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in all weather.

Responsabilités

• Performs light maintenance of HVAC systems and preventative maintenance.
• Responds to emergency calls for system or equipment failure.
• Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and orders parts to ensure safe operation.
• Reads blueprints and documents work with sketches as needed.
• Maintains logs for HVAC equipment and keeps mechanical room orderly.
• Manages building controls systems and coordinates with supervisor.
• Delivers on-time service to students, faculty, and staff.
• Oversees maintenance across campus and supports department needs.
