Job summary

Medxcel in Franklin, WI, is seeking a Facilities Technician to install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC, ventilation, refrigeration, and ice-making systems at Franklin Hospital. You will apply knowledge of steam distribution, piping, valves, water reheat systems, and energy management, and respond to after-hours emergencies following PPE protocols.

Qualifications

• EPA Certification (level II preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent or trade school graduation.
• 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Installs, inspects, maintains, and repairs all heating, cooling, ventilation, refrigeration, and ice-making systems.
• Applies specialized knowledge of steam distribution, piping, valves, water reheat systems, and energy management systems.
• Responds to after-hours emergencies, manages power outage procedures, and strictly follows safety protocols using PPE.
• Coordinates with personnel regarding work orders, ensures compliance with building and safety regulations, and keeps tools and vehicles in safe operating condition.
• Dedicates 20% of the role to participating in meetings, training workshops, and assisting with special projects as assigned.

Education

EPA Certification (level II preferred)
