Job summary

Medxcel is seeking an on-site Facilities HVAC technician in Jacksonville, FL, supporting St. Vincent's Riverside Hospital. The role focuses on maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and energy systems, with after-hours support and safety compliance.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or trade school training, EPA Certification preferred, and roughly 3 years of related experience or equivalent. Work hours are day shift, full-time in a hospital environment.

Qualifications

• EPA Certification (level II preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of trade school.
• 3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Installs, inspects, maintains, and repairs heating, cooling, ventilation, refrigeration, and ice‑making systems.
• Applies knowledge of steam distribution, piping, valves, water reheat systems, and energy management systems.
• Responds to after-hours emergencies and follows safety protocols with PPE.
• Coordinates with personnel on work orders, ensures building and safety compliance, and keeps tools/vehicles in good condition.
• Dedicates about 20% of time to meetings, training, and special projects.
