Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (JLL) seeks a Lead HVAC Technician in Research Triangle Park, NC. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, including air handling units, chillers, boilers, pumps and controls, ensuring reliable tenant operations.

A valid EPA/CFC license, BMS familiarity, and 6+ years of building engineering experience are required. This is a hands-on role with some vendor coordination and documentation responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, trade school completion, or documented apprenticeship.
• Valid state driver’s license required.
• Industrial HVAC experience required.
• Universal EPA / CFC license.
• 6+ years of technical building engineering experience including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and equipment maintenance.
• Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Preferred CMMS/work order systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing preventive and repair work orders on facility mechanical systems and equipment.
• Maintain air handling units, exhaust fans, fume hoods, fan coil units, reheat coils, and other mechanical equipment.
• Inspect and report conditions impacting client occupancy and operations.
• Monitor refrigeration, HVAC, electrical, back-up systems, boilers, pumps, valves, and related components; document readings and adjust as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance on base building and critical systems; manage work orders and coordinate repairs.
• Install and repair plumbing/piping/tubing; wire motors; install and service pumps, air compressors, and controls; support major repairs.
• Schedule vendor repairs and maintain records; ensure work is completed with minimal disruption.
• Keep system documentation current in a central repository; maintain tools and supplies.
• Follow hazardous materials policies and participate in other tasks as needed.
