Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to maintain and troubleshoot critical building systems, including chillers, boilers, VAV and BAS equipment, in mission-critical environments. The role requires working on site with a focus on reliability and safety.

Typical duties include inspections, preventive maintenance, mentoring junior staff, and rapid response to faults or emergencies. U.S. citizenship and clearance eligibility are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 6+ years of experience working with complex HVAC systems and equipment including chillers, boilers, and VAV systems.
• US citizenship or eligibility for security clearance is required to access classified information.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain engineering systems and equipment; monitor operations and maintain logs.
• Mentor less experienced HVAC technicians.
• Operate and maintain site-critical HVAC, BAS, and life-safety systems.
• Record faults and report abnormalities; respond to emergencies as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance on Chiller, VAV, HVAC controls, and life-safety systems.
