Amentum is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and coordination of building mechanical systems for industrial and government facilities. You will guide HVAC, plumbing, and piping design, mentor engineers, and ensure compliant, high-quality outcomes across the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities include coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, applying codes (IMC, ASHRAE, NFPA, ASME), and supporting procurement and field issues in a security-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 15+ years in industrial/government design of Mechanical, HVAC, Plumbing Systems, and related mechanical building systems.
• Demonstrated experience delivering projects from concept through detailed design.

Responsabilités

• Lead design of HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems including B31.3 process piping.
• Serve as technical authority for mechanical design within project scope.
• Review, approve, and check engineering calculations, layouts, specifications, and drawings.
