Johnson Controls, Inc. in Largo, FL is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to own mechanical analysis, detailed design, and subsystem integration for HVAC equipment across Enviro‑Tec platforms. You will collaborate with electrical, controls, test labs, and manufacturing to deliver safe, cost-effective products.

You will supervise DFMEA, support manufacturing with BOMs and DFMA improvements, and mentor drafters. The role is onsite in Largo with relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 5+ years in mechanical engineering with product development.
• 5+ years of 3D CAD experience.
• Experience designing sheet-metal assemblies.

Responsabilités

• Lead mechanical design and system integration of HVAC subsystems (AHUs/FCUs/BCUs).
• Perform mechanical analysis and detailed design for sheet metal enclosures, coils, and airflow paths.
• Develop manufacturability, serviceability, acoustics, and energy-efficiency improvements.
• Create CAD models, drawings, and installation details.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including compliance and sourcing.
