Job summary

Trane Technologies, a leader in sustainable climate solutions, invites you to join as Senior HVAC Project Developer. You will lead front-end project development by evaluating customer facility needs and developing strategic solutions in collaboration with Pre-Construction, Estimating, Project Management and external partners.

The role requires some Midwest travel, onsite work, and delivering capital improvements with compelling ROI, lifecycle cost awareness, and energy performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Subject matter expert in mechanical HVAC systems; basic energy/building design knowledge.
• Experience with estimating, construction, and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of codes and standards relevant to HVAC projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex energy, infrastructure, and facility modernization opportunities from qualification through contract execution.
• Evaluate mechanical, electrical, and building systems to identify risks and capital needs.
• Develop solutions including HVAC modernization, building automation, energy efficiency improvements, and sustainability initiatives.
• Collaborate with designers, contractors, estimators, and operations teams to ensure practical execution.
• Quantify lifecycle costs and ROI; build compelling business cases for capital projects.
• Coordinate with utility partners to rebates and incentives.
• Serve as technical SME during customer presentations and design reviews.
• Lead workshops and planning sessions to align stakeholders on benefits and requirements.
