Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas is seeking a Service Technician IV to diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial HVAC equipment, including rooftops, chillers, boilers, and split systems. The role emphasizes crew leadership, contract execution, and safety compliance in a Dallas, TX onsite setting.

You will mentor up to 10 technicians, support contract start-ups, review estimates, and drive efficient, high-quality service.

Qualifications

• 5+ years related experience with increasing responsibility; or 7+ related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Technical school with HVAC certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
• Rotational Emergency Call Support as required
• Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district
• EPA approved Universal Technician Certification required, as necessary
• Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead up to 10 HVAC Technicians
• Ensure timely and cost-effective start-up of maintenance contracts, and efficient and timely installation of jobs
• Perform ongoing review of contracts/projects, implementing corrective actions to ensure costs are in line with plans
• Utilize the Service Management System and contract review process to establish an effective work plan
• Perform and/or provide expert counsel on scheduled, preventive maintenance on equipment under contract
• Respond to emergency service calls to minimize downtime and provide leadership
• Support Sales with job site surveys, estimates review, and technical training
• Promote safe work practices and OSHA-compliant safety training
• Provide timely feedback to reinforce positive results and reduce callbacks
• Participate in performance evaluations and provide development suggestions
• Keep current and train on Daikin Applied products for installation, operation, and maintenance
• Travel locally with some overnight travel
