Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas, the world's largest HVAC company, is seeking a Service Technician IV for onsite work in TX. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC systems, including rooftops, split systems, chillers, and boilers.

Expect leadership of up to 10 technicians and strong customer interaction. You will oversee contract start-ups, enforce safety, coach technicians, and support sales with site surveys and estimates.

Qualifications

• 5+ years related experience with increasing responsibility; or 7+ related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Technical school with HVAC certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
• Rotational Emergency Call Support as required
• EPA approved Universal Technician Certification required, as necessary

Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead up to 10 HVAC Technicians
• Ensure timely and cost-effective start-up of maintenance contracts and efficient installation of jobs
• Review contracts/projects and implement corrective actions to align costs with plans
• Use Service Management System to establish work plans and ensure customer requirements are met
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections to keep equipment in good condition
• Respond to emergency service calls to minimize downtime and advise on upgrades
• Support Sales with site surveys and estimates reviews
• Promote safety and OSHA compliance on all jobs
• Provide feedback and coaching to technicians during evaluations
• Stay current on Daikin Applied products through training
• Travel locally with some overnight stays
