Job summary

Kauai Air Conditioning & Plumbing is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial systems. You will work independently in the field, build strong customer relationships, and document findings and estimates in Service Titan.

You will mentor maintenance staff when needed, follow EPA 608 guidelines, and ensure safe, high-quality service with accurate pricing and detailed notes for follow-up.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• EPA 608 Certification.
• 1+ year HVAC service experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of residential split-system units and HVAC fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair common AC issues—boards, motors, capacitors, relays, thermostats.
• Assist senior technicians on complex calls to develop skills.
• Perform preventive maintenance—filters, coils, drains, belts, motors.
• Read electrical diagrams to support diagnostics.
• Generate field estimates and present repair options to customers.
