Job summary

Kauai Air Conditioning & Plumbing is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and service residential and light commercial systems on-site. You will perform preventative maintenance, interpret electrical diagrams, and provide accurate field estimates, while mentoring junior technicians as needed.

The role emphasizes problem solving, customer-facing communication, and adherence to EPA 608 standards. Must lift 50 pounds, work outdoors, and maintain a clean, safe jobsite.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• EPA 608 Certification (current and in good standing).
• Valid driver's license.
• 1+ year of HVAC service experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently diagnose and repair common AC system issues and components.
• Perform preventive maintenance and service work: clean filters, coils, drain pans, and inspect electrical components.
• Take temperature and pressure readings and communicate findings clearly to customers.
