Job summary

Modigent is seeking an experienced Service Manager - HVAC to lead commercial service operations across assigned territories. You will oversee technicians, foremen, and support staff, drive scheduling, profitability, and customer satisfaction while ensuring safety and compliance.

This role offers progression from Level I to Level II, exposure to P&L, and opportunities to develop teams, optimize first-time fix rates, and collaborate with cross-functional groups.

• Strong technical knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and service practices.
• Proven ability to lead teams and develop staff.
• Solid customer relationship and communication skills.
• Financial acumen including job costing and profitability analysis.
• Ability to drive process improvements and operational excellence.
• Calm, effective decision-maker under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day HVAC service operations for the territory or service line.
• Supervise Service Foremen, technicians, and support staff to ensure quality, timely service.
• Oversee scheduling, dispatch, and resource allocation to maximize productivity.
• Maintain strong customer communication and issue resolution across accounts.
• Monitor profitability, labor utilization, and service metrics; implement corrective actions.
• Ensure safety standards, policy compliance, and refrigerant/service regulations.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, and performance management of personnel.
• Collaborate with Sales, Dispatch, and Operations to align goals and growth.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting; ensure regulatory compliance.
