Job summary

Skilled Trades Partners in Columbus, Ohio is seeking an experienced Senior HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team in a direct-hire role. This position focuses on hands-on field work while offering a clear path into leadership and a future General Manager position.

You will diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial HVAC systems, mentor other techs, and help optimize service operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years HVAC service, maintenance, or installation experience.
• EPA 608 Type II or Universal certification required.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Residential and light commercial HVAC experience.
• Lead Technician or supervisory experience preferred.
• Interest in growing into a General Manager position.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Experience with ServiceTitan or similar field-service software is a plus.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
• Perform seasonal maintenance, system inspections, and equipment change-outs.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical HVAC issues.
• Communicate with customers regarding system issues, recommendations, and pricing.
• Accurately document service calls and completed work.
• Mentor and support other technicians.
• Assist with scheduling, customer concerns, and day-to-day service operations.
• Support installation crews and fellow technicians as needed.
• Participate in ongoing technical, leadership, and operations training.
