Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Senior Technician, Facility Services, HVAC/Refrigeration, to oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC/R systems across commercial and industrial facilities.

This role leads diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and compliance with safety and environmental standards while mentoring technicians and managing parts inventory within a dynamic store network.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration.
• 6 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration with AAS.
• EPA certification for refrigerant handling (Type I/II or Universal).
• HVAC-R/Mechanical Journeyman where required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems.
• Lead diagnostics and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues.
• Implement preventive maintenance to extend equipment life.
• Manage refrigerant handling and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate field teams and mentor technicians.
• Maintain parts inventory and vendor relationships.
