Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Senior Technician for Facility Services (HVAC/Refrigeration) in Longview, TX. The role leads installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex HVAC/R systems across commercial environments, ensuring safety, EPA/OSHA compliance, and optimized performance.

You will coordinate field teams, mentor technicians, and drive continuous improvement while aligning with Walmart’s service priorities and policies.

Qualifications

3 years HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration experience required.
EPA Type I/II or Universal certification required for refrigerant handling.
Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record; no disqualifying traffic history.

Responsibilities

Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems.
Lead diagnostics and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues.
Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life.
Manage refrigerant handling in compliance with EPA/OSHA standards.
Coordinate and mentor field teams; provide hands-on training.
Maintain accurate documentation: work orders, logs, and compliance records.
Support on-call rotations for urgent service needs.
Manage parts inventory, vendor relationships, and service scheduling.
