Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Senior Technician, Facility Services, HVAC/Refrigeration, to oversee HVAC/R installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting across commercial facilities in Spring, TX. You will lead field teams, coordinate preventive maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations while delivering reliable service.

The role focuses on equipment optimization, documentation, and rapid issue resolution, supporting Walmart operations and safety standards.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include 3 years HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration experience or 6 years with an AAS in HVAC/R.
EPA refrigerant handling certifications required; OSHA safety standards knowledge expected.
HVAC-R certification and journeyman status where required; valid state license where applicable.

Responsibilities

Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems, including refrigeration units and building pneumatics.
Lead diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues to ensure optimal system performance.
Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life and minimize downtime.
Manage refrigerant handling, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and environmental regulations.
Coordinate and mentor field teams, providing hands-on training and evaluating skill development.
Maintain accurate documentation, including work orders, maintenance logs, and compliance records.
Support on-call rotations to address urgent service needs promptly.
Manage parts inventory, vendor relationships, and service scheduling to meet business priorities.
