Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Senior Technician, Facility Services, HVAC/Refrigeration for WM Supercenter #1011 in Rincon, GA. The role oversees HVAC/R installation and commissioning, diagnoses issues, and implements preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

You will manage supermarket refrigeration units, ensure OSHA/EPA compliance, coordinate field teams, and mentor junior technicians. Shifts vary; full-time with extensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration.
• 6 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration and Associate of Applied Science in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
• Hold and maintain Type I and Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• HVAC-R/Mechanical Journeyman where required.
• 1 year’s experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or Walmart store experience.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within last five years, and no more than two moving violations in last three years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in last three years.

Responsibilities

• Oversees installation and commissioning of HVAC/R systems, including ductwork, control panels, and building pneumatics.
• Leads diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues across commercial and industrial systems.
• Implements preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life and reduce downtimes.
• Manages rack systems, walk-ins, reach-ins, and supermarket refrigeration units, ensuring optimal performance and compliance.
• Uses heavy machinery and submits maintenance logs and work orders with before/after photos.
• Ensures OSHA/EPA compliance and documents refrigerant handling according to regulations.
• Leads field teams, mentors technicians, and coordinates service assignments.
• Participates in on-call rotation to support after-hours critical needs.
