Job summary

Walmart in Lawrenceville, GA seeks a Senior Technician, Facility Services, HVAC/Refrigeration, to lead installation, maintenance, and repair of complex HVAC/R systems across commercial settings.

You will oversee diagnostics, preventive maintenance, safety compliance, and vendor relationships, while guiding field teams and delivering hands-on training to ensure reliable operations. This on-site role includes on-call duties and opportunities to drive continuous improvement through new technologies.

Qualifications

• 3 years' HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration experience.
• 6 years' HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration with AAS in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
• EPA Type I and II or Universal refrigerant handling certification.
• HVAC-R/Mechanical Journeyman where required.
• 1 year plumbing/electrical or 2 years Walmart store experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems including ductwork and refrigeration units.
• Lead diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues.
• Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs to optimize equipment performance.
• Manage refrigerant handling and compliance with OSHA/EPA codes.
• Coordinate and mentor field teams, providing hands-on training.
• Track parts inventory and vendor relationships; ensure timely service.
• Participate in on-call rotation for critical service needs.
