Walmart is seeking a Senior Technician in San Angelo, TX, to lead HVAC/Refrigeration installation, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance for our facilities. The role requires coordinating field teams, maintaining safety protocols, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

You will manage supermarket refrigeration systems and participate in on‑call rotations to support critical operations, while delivering hands‑on training and process improvements across store locations.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration.
• EPA Type I/II certification for refrigerant handling (preferred).
• HVAC-R/Mechanical Journeyman where required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversees installation and commissioning of HVAC/R systems, including ductwork and control panels.
• Diagnoses and troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues across commercial systems.
• Implements preventive maintenance to extend equipment life and reduce downtime.
• Manages supermarket refrigeration units and walk-ins for optimal performance and compliance.
• Maintains logs, submits reports, and ensures OSHA and EPA compliance.
• Leads field teams, mentors technicians, and coordinates service calls.
