Job summary

Walmart is seeking a skilled HVAC/R Technician to install and service commercial refrigeration systems, ductwork, control panels, and building pneumatics across multiple facilities.

You will diagnose issues, implement preventive maintenance, and mentor apprentices under supervision, while adhering to OSHA and EPA 608 protocols and coordinating with service providers to ensure timely resolutions.

Qualifications

• Option 1: HVAC/R certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field.
• Option 2: 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or building controls.
• Hold EPA refrigerant handling certification (Type I/II or Universal).

Responsibilities

• Installs HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork, control panels, and building pneumatics.
• Diagnoses and resolves mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues across systems.
• Maintains and repairs supermarket refrigeration units and energy systems.
• Coordinates service calls and on-call responses with managers and technicians.
• Leads and mentors apprentices on safety and technical procedures.
