Job summary

Walmart is hiring a Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration in Carrollton, TX to install, maintain and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial settings. You will interpret schematics, ensure EPA and OSHA compliance, and perform preventive maintenance to optimize performance.

You will diagnose issues, manage refrigerant handling per EPA regulations, coordinate service calls, document work, and participate in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• HVAC/R certification required with 2 years’ maintenance or construction experience.
• 4 years’ mechanical maintenance experience acceptable for commercial HVAC/R.
• Valid EPA refrigerant handling certification (Type I/II or Universal).
• HVAC/R journeyman as required by location.
• Valid driver’s license with clean MVR and good driving record.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and building codes.
• Strong safety focus with OSHA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC and refrigeration systems per codes.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues in commercial equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on walk-ins, refrigeration units, and HVAC.
• Adhere to EPA 608 and OSHA safety standards during service.
• Coordinate service calls and document refrigerant usage and repairs.
• Operate company vehicles and participate in on-call rotations as needed.
