Job summary

Walmart Inc. in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Senior Technician, Facility Services, HVAC/Refrigeration to oversee installation, commissioning and maintenance of HVAC/R systems.

You will diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficient operation of supermarket refrigeration units. You will lead field teams, mentor technicians, and manage parts inventory and service vendors, while adhering to OSHA and EPA standards and supporting

Qualifications

• 3 years’ HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration experience required.
• 6 years’ HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration experience plus AAS preferred.
• EPA refrigerant handling certification required.
• HVAC-R/ Mechanical journeyman as applicable.
• Experience with plumbing/electrical or related area helpful.

Responsibilities

• Oversees installation and commissioning of HVAC/R systems and associated ductwork.
• Leads diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues across commercial/industrial systems.
• Implements preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life and reduce downtime.
• Manages supermarket/rack refrigeration units, ensuring optimal performance.
• Maintains OSHA and EPA compliance and documents field practices.
• Trains and mentors Technicians; coordinates field teams and on‑call rotation.
• Manages parts inventory, vendor relationships, and service contracts.
• Coordinates vehicle maintenance and safety compliance.
