Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration.
• 6 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration with AAS in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
• EPA Type I/II or Universal refrigerant handling certification.
• HVAC-R/Mechanical Journeyman where required.
• 1 year’s experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or Walmart store experience.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record: no DUI/DWI/OUI convictions in last 5 years.
• Commercial driving record: no more than two moving violations in last 3 years.
• No serious traffic violations in last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Oversees installation and commissioning of HVAC/R systems, including ductwork, control panels, and building pneumatics.
• Leads diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues across commercial and industrial systems.
• Implements and monitors preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life and reduce downtimes.
• Manages rack systems, walk-ins, reach-ins, and supermarket refrigeration units, ensuring optimal performance.
• Submits required written and electronic information (expense vouchers, weekly summaries, work orders, maintenance logs).
• Enters detailed notes in work orders, including before/after photos.
• Ensures adherence to OSHA standards and EPA refrigerant handling protocols.
