Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Senior Technician, Facility Services, HVAC/Refrigeration in Spring, TX to lead installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex HVAC/R systems across commercial settings. You will coordinate field teams, mentor technicians, and manage preventive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.

Qualifications

3 years' experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration.
6 years' experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration with an AAS in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
EPA Type I and II or Universal refrigerant handling certification.
HVAC-R/ Mechanical Journeyman where required.
1 year plumbing, electrical, or related experience or 2 years Walmart store experience.
Valid state driver's license and ability to pass an MVR.
Clean driving record with no DUI/DWI in last 5 years.
No serious traffic violations under FMCSA in last 3 years.

Responsibilities

Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems, including ductwork, control panels, and refrigeration units.
Lead diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues across commercial and industrial equipment.
Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs to optimize equipment performance and reduce downtime.
Manage refrigerant handling, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and HVAC/R codes.
Coordinate and mentor field teams, providing hands-on training and evaluating technician skill development.
Maintain parts inventory, vendor relationships, and service schedules to meet operational priorities.
Participate in on-call rotation to support critical business needs outside regular hours.
