Job summary

m2e Consulting Engineers is seeking a Senior Project Engineer in Florida to lead and manage complex mechanical projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget compliance. You will oversee design development, coordinate with clients and teams, and mentor junior staff while supporting business development.

The role requires a PE license (or reciprocity eligibility within six months), a mechanical engineering degree, and strong field and reporting capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Active Florida P.E. license or eligible for reciprocity within six months.
• Contractor license (building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing) preferred.
• Valid Florida driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects and ensure on-time delivery within budget and scope.
• Lead and support a team of engineers and technical staff.
• Oversee design development, plans, specifications, and project execution.
• Review engineering documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams to ensure project success.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement solutions.
• Support budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Participate in field activities such as site visits and inspections.
• Develop strong client relationships and support business development.
• Contribute to internal standards and procedures and mentor junior staff.
