Job summary

Total Mechanical Solutions seeks a hands-on HVAC/Plumbing Superintendent to lead field crews on commercial projects from ground‑up to completion in Virginia. You will coordinate subs, enforce safety, QA, and ensure projects meet plans, specs, and schedules.

Based in a dynamic, growth‑focused team, you’ll supervise crews, manage logistics, and maintain accurate field reports while representing the company with professionalism on every jobsite.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in mechanical construction, with at least three years as a Superintendent or Foreman.
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC and plumbing systems, with ability to read blueprints and coordinate MEP work.
• Trade licenses and certifications as required.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments and remain calm under pressure.
• Proficient with digital construction tools and reporting systems.
• Working knowledge of OSHA and related safety standards.
• Professional appearance and ability to represent the company with pride.

Responsibilities

• Supervise HVAC and plumbing crews, subcontractors, and field personnel across projects.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure work aligns with plans, specs, and schedules.
• Oversee jobsite logistics, safety compliance, and quality assurance.
• Plan project work schedules and coordinate material and equipment deliveries.
• Maintain daily reports, look-aheads, RFPs, and timesheets using company systems.
• Lead weekly safety meetings and manage site safety certifications.
• Manage on-site communications with vendors, clients, inspectors, and stakeholders.
• Ensure subcontractors meet performance and quality expectations.
• Conduct on-site inspections to resolve conflicts and mitigate delays.
• Manage storage, maintenance, and use of company equipment and tools.
