Job summary

Vertical Mechanical Group (VMG) is seeking a Superintendent to lead jobsite operations for commercial HVAC and plumbing projects in Blacksburg, VA. You will drive safety, quality, productivity, and coordination with clients, general contractors, and partners.

The role requires 5+ years supervising construction, strong scheduling and cost-control skills, and the ability to read plans. VMG offers competitive compensation, benefits, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supervising commercial construction projects (HVAC, Plumbing, or MEP preferred).
• Proven ability to manage crews, schedules, and budgets.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills; read and interpret plans.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily jobsite operations with focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
• Develop and maintain project schedules to meet milestones.
• Support manpower planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Lead projects from startup through closeout, coordinating with stakeholders.
• Represent VMG in meetings with clients and partners.
