The position emphasizes design feasibility, cross-functional teamwork, and mentoring junior designers while contributing to manufacturing-ready documentation and on-site collaboration.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks for complex assemblies.
• Strong 2D CAD capabilities for detailed drawings.
• 7+ years progressive mechanical design experience in HVAC or related environments.
• Understanding of manufacturing practices and processes.
• Ability to mentor junior designers.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
• Efficient time management in a fast-paced setting.
• Comfort working across office and shop-floor environments.
• Willingness to lead manufacturing floor meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation of complex 3D models of HVAC equipment, assemblies, and components.
• Drive advanced sheet metal design using SolidWorks and set modeling standards.
• Oversee manufacturing packages with detailed drawings and fabrication docs.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and cross-functional teams.
• Manage design data, revisions, and bills of materials with accuracy.
