Job summary

Piedmont Service Group, established in Raleigh, NC, seeks a Level II HVAC Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, repairs, start-up, and commissioning of standard HVAC equipment. The role requires reading mechanical drawings and electrical schematics, understanding ductwork, sheet metal construction, and refrigerant management.

Mentors Level I mechanics to support skill development and overall team efficiency.

Qualifications

• HVAC vocational training or trade certificate(s) required.
• >3 years HVAC experience plus two years troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Ability to communicate services performed with customers.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive and predictive maintenance and service repairs on HVAC systems without supervision.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, startup, adjust and replace mechanical equipment and control components.
• Identify predictive failures and provide accurate information for spot quotes.
• Start up and commissioning of standard HVAC equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Follow all required safety protocols.
