Job summary

Piedmont Service Group is seeking a Level II HVAC Mechanic to independently perform preventive and predictive maintenance, service repairs, and startup/commissioning of standard HVAC equipment. The role requires reading mechanical drawings and electrical schematics, plus expertise in ductwork, sheet metal, and refrigerant management.

The candidate will mentor Level I Mechanics and contribute to safe operations while following all safety protocols.

Qualifications

• HVAC vocational experience and/or trade certificate(s).
• 3+ years HVAC experience with troubleshooting proficiency.
• High school graduate or equivalent; industry knowledge may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and service repairs on HVAC systems without supervision.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, startup, adjust and replace mechanical equipment and control components.
• Identify predictive failures and provide accurate information for spot quotes.
• Start up and commissioning of standard HVAC equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer specifications.
• Mentor Level I HVAC Mechanics to support skill development and team effectiveness.
