Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Commercial HVAC Estimator in Taylor, MI. This on-site, permanent role offers commission-eligible compensation with uncapped earning potential.

You will own the full lifecycle from opportunity qualification to build estimates, proposals, and handoff to the field team, collaborating with senior leadership to drive profitable backlog. The position rewards a hands-on estimator with a track record of winning work, strong GC/owner relationships, and the ability to price

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience estimating true commercial HVAC work.
• Independently build takeoffs, scope mechanical work, and price competitively.
• Track record of winning business, not just submitting bids.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with general contractors and/or property owners.
• Comfortable working in a non-union commercial HVAC environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with general contractors and property owners to generate opportunities.
• Qualify bid opportunities and pursue new ones with existing relationships.
• Walk job sites and review plans/specs for HVAC takeoffs and pricing.
• Build competitive, profitable estimates and proposals to win work.
• Present and negotiate proposals with GCs/owners and adjust scope to close deals.
• Shape design-build solutions from concept through construction handoff.
• Handoff won projects with clear scope, budget, and expectations to field team.
• Maintain personal bid pipeline and report on health and backlog.
