Job summary

Comfort 360, Inc. is expanding its Residential New Construction and Commercial HVAC business in the Portland/Vancouver market and seeks a senior HVAC estimator who will own the front end of the preconstruction process.

You will handle residential Wrightsoft load calculations, commercial estimating, takeoffs, pricing, and builder relationships, with ownership over bid strategy and project handoff to operations.

• Experience with commercial plans/spec and design-build estimating.
• Ability to perform equipment, material and labor takeoffs and pricing.

Job description

We're looking for a senior HVAC estimator who wants to help build something.

Comfort 360 is expanding our Residential New Construction and Commercial HVAC business in the Portland/Vancouver market, and we're looking for an experienced Senior HVAC Estimator /

Preconstruction Manager.

This isn't a position where you'll sit behind a desk and count fittings all day.

You'll have ownership of the front end of the business:

• Residential HVAC design and Wrightsoft load calculations
• Commercial plans/spec and design-build estimating
• Equipment, material and labor takeoffs
• Vendor and subcontractor pricing
• GC and builder relationships
• Bid strategy and negotiation
• Project handoff to operations

We're especially interested in someone who understands how HVAC systems are actually installed—not just how they look on plans.

Compensation:

$105,000–$125,000 base salary + uncapped performance bonus

Target total compensation: approximately $145,000–$175,000+, with additional upside for exceptional profitable performance.

Our compensation plan rewards gross profit and estimating accuracy—not simply selling more revenue.

The mature goal for this position is to help produce approximately $6M+ annually in profitable residential and commercial HVAC work while developing long-term relationships with builders, GCs and commercial customers.
