CBRE is seeking an HVAC Engineer to operate, maintain, repair, and optimize HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical systems across a Buffalo portfolio, including data centers. You will participate in a 24x7x365 on-call rotation to ensure uninterrupted critical infrastructure.

Strong problem‑solving and BAS experience are essential. The role supports multiple facilities in the Buffalo market, requiring compliance with safety standards, plus proficiency with BAS platforms and CMMS systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience operating, maintaining, and repairing commercial HVAC systems.
• EPA Section 608 Universal Certification required.
• Refrigeration Certification required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Experience reading blueprints and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining building system reliability across facilities.
• Inspect, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC equipment including chillers, cooling towers, RTUs, VAVs, heat pumps.
• Monitor/building systems via BAS platforms to optimize performance.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance per manufacturer and CBRE standards.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, and services by contractors and vendors.
