Job summary

CBRE is seeking an HVAC/R Engineer to maintain mechanical and electrical equipment for complex commercial HVAC systems, performing proactive performance testing and ongoing scheduled maintenance. The role requires 4–5 years of related experience and a refrigeration license or Universal 608 Certification.

You will supervise tasks, troubleshoot, and coach others while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. This position is full-time and on-site, with CBRE values guiding everyday work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4–5 years of related experience.
• Refrigeration License or Universal 608 Certification is required.
• Meet physical requirements including lifting up to 50 lbs and sustained activity.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Assign tasks to team members and ensure timely completion.
• Install, repair, adjust, service and maintain HVAC/R control systems and calibration of instruments.
• Inspect HVAC equipment and ensure compliant operation and safety.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and determine corrective actions.
• Apply standard principles to complex maintenance assignments and provide solutions.
• Coach others and share knowledge across related disciplines.
• Lead by example and foster consensus aligned with CBRE values.
• Impact multiple customer, operational or project activities within teams.
• Explain complex information clearly to stakeholders.
