Job summary

Actalent is hiring an HVAC Mechanical Design Engineer in Fishers, IN. You will design HVAC systems for commercial, institutional, and industrial projects, collaborating with plumbing, hydronics, electrical, BIM, and other teams across the Midwest and US.

You will perform load calculations, equipment sizing, duct and piping design, and support project delivery through construction documents and coordination with multiple disciplines.

Qualifications

• Ability to design HVAC systems for commercial, institutional, and industrial projects.
• Strong experience with Revit MEP modeling and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Develop HVAC construction documents with drawings, specs, details and schedules.
• Perform HVAC load calculations using Trane TRACE and analyze requirements.
• Design and layout HVAC systems with equipment, ductwork and piping.
• Coordinate with architecture, structural, plumbing, fire protection and electrical teams.
• Conduct field surveys and document existing conditions for renovations or new work.
• Prepare calculations and construction documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Respond to RFIs, review submittals, and support construction teams.
