Job summary

LG Electronics USA in Alpharetta, GA seeks an HVAC Controls & System Integration Engineer to lead testing and integration of control systems for North America. You will drive lab validation, field readiness, and cloud-based platform integration while coordinating across internal teams, distributors, and Global HQ.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in HVAC controls, strong troubleshooting, and experience with RS-485/Modbus/BACnet. Korean language fluency is required for HQ collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in HVAC controls, system integration, or related controls industry.
• Hands-on experience with system integration testing.
• Strong troubleshooting knowledge of hardware and software systems.
• Experience with serial communication protocols (RS-485, Modbus, BACnet).
• Ability to set up lab environments including electrical wiring and PCBA-level testing.
• Fluent Korean language skills (required for HQ collaboration).
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead system integration testing for HVAC control systems, gateways, and cloud-connected platforms.
• Establish and manage lab environments to replicate field conditions and troubleshoot system-level issues.
• Capture and analyze communication logs (BACnet, Modbus, RS485, UART, etc.) for root cause analysis.
• Support integrated validation of cloud-based HVAC control platforms.
• Verify Point Lists and communication interfaces between HVAC equipment and BAS systems.
• Troubleshoot serial communication protocols (RS485, Modbus, BACnet).
• Optimize system interoperability and compatibility across devices and networks.
• Serve as primary technical liaison between North America and Global HQ (Korea).
• Communicate technical findings clearly in English and Korean.
• Develop application guidelines, technical documentation, and training materials.
