Job summary

Honeywell seeks a Lead Field Service HVAC Controls/BAS Technician in Acton, MA to provide advanced technical support and lead onsite installations and commissioning of BAS and HVAC systems across commercial buildings, optimizing performance and reliability.

You will mentor junior technicians, perform complex troubleshooting, ensure safety and compliance, and collaborate with project teams to meet customer requirements and timelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC controls and BAS.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, DDC and BAS technologies.
• Proficient in advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics of HVAC control systems.
• Experience programming, configuring, commissioning, and modifying HVAC control systems.
• Experience providing technical leadership or mentoring to field technicians.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite installation, commissioning, and service of BAS and HVAC equipment.
• Serve as the technical lead on projects, providing direction and training to technicians and customers.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics for HVAC controls and networks.
• Program, configure, and commission Honeywell platforms (Spyder, CIPer, WEBs, EBI, Niagara).
• Interpret control drawings and sequences of operation to validate functionality.
• Coordinate with project teams to resolve issues and maintain schedules.
• Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and building performance.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior technicians.
• Ensure documentation, redlines, and as-built drawings meet standards.
• Maintain safety protocols and compliance on site.
