Trane Technologies is seeking an Applications Engineer to shape HVAC controls offerings within the Segment market. This role acts as a SME in HVAC controls fulfillment and will participate in design, development, testing and support of new system applications and controls offerings.

Responsibilities include leveraging field experience to advise segment leaders, engineers, and product managers; contributing to guidelines and best practices; and supporting field trials and deployments for new

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required; extensive field experience may substitute.
• 8+ years in building automation or HVAC controls engineering strongly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with HVAC controls fulfillment from handoff to turnover desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise for HVAC system applications and interfaces.
• Monitor industry trends to inform product feature roadmaps.
• Collaborate with engineering to evaluate feasibility and resolve issues.
• Support field sales and operations with technical know-how.
• Create and review engineering bulletins, guides and best practices.
• Present technical topics to internal and external audiences.
