Job summary

William-Carey-University seeks an HVAC Specialist to maintain and repair campus heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot emergencies, and supervise HVAC operations across multiple facilities.

The role requires strong technical skills, safety awareness, and the ability to coordinate with Facilities Management while supporting campus events and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years direct HVAC experience.
• 2 years of supervisory experience.
• EPA Freon gas Handler Certification required.
• Valid US driver license with clean record.
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems across university facilities.
• Respond to service requests and equipment failures; participate in on-call rotations.
• Assist planning, supervision and coordination of all HVAC operations and contractors.
• Inspect, repair, and install HVAC equipment including boilers, chillers, pumps and controls.
• Operate building energy management system and maintain safety protocols.
