Job summary

William & Mary is seeking an HVAC Helper to assist in maintaining and repairing residential, commercial, and industrial HVAC systems. The role includes supplying tools and parts, taking readings, and supporting senior technicians across MAUs, AHUs, RTUs, chillers, boilers, FCUs and VAVs.

• Experience in using power and hand tools safely.
• Ability to climb ladders and work in tight spaces.
• Ability to work in extreme environments (heat/cold).
• Valid Virginia driver’s license and two years of driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintenance and repair of HVAC systems and components.
• Provide tools and parts to senior technicians and document readings.
• Perform preventative maintenance: filter/belt changes, coil cleaning, readings.
• Support site preparation and coordination with occupants and contractors.
• Assist with work orders and on-site administrative tasks.
