Job summary

William & Mary is seeking an HVAC Helper to assist in maintaining residential, commercial, and industrial HVAC systems. You will support technicians with tools, readings, and part transfers while working in varied environments and temperatures on campus facilities.

This regular, benefited position requires physical stamina, the ability to use power and hand tools safely, and a Virginia driver's license. EPA licensing within 90 days and on-call duties may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience with the safe use of power and hand tools.
• Ability to climb ladders and work in extreme environments.
• Valid Virginia Driver's License and two years of driving experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Assists in HVAC maintenance and repair of various systems.
• Provide tools and parts to repair technicians and take readings.
• Support site preparation and access for university buildings.
• Maintain work order documentation and report follow-up actions.
• Assist on-call and overtime duties as required.
