Job summary

EMCOR Services Mesa Energy in California is seeking an Automation Foreman to inspect, test, adjust and repair electric, electronic, mechanical and pneumatic automation systems, diagnose faults and perform preventative maintenance while leading multiple jobs and crews.

This role includes coaching technicians, representing BAS with customers, communicating project status to the PM, maintaining customer relationships, reviewing submittals, and ensuring adherence to installation standards and safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent field experience.
• 8+ years of direct automation experience with control systems and programming.
• Working knowledge of at least three HVAC control systems (Delta, Distech, JCI or Andover).
• Ability to interface with customers at a supervisory and management level.
• Engineering skills include electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and computer programming.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with control system architecture design, programming, or maintenance.
• Good computer skills and understanding of controls networking.
• A valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Representation of BAS with the customer during a construction project.
• Communicate project status and resolve issues with PM.
• Maintaining customer relationships.
• Financial oversight of assigned construction projects.
